May 19th, 2010

I have never had a giveaway before, so you can participate in an idolreview first!  You can win your very own, completely awesome, Pants on the Ground shirt!

potg

This is courtesy of Cafe Press where you can find a ton of Idol shirts or even design your own and upload it.  I am a big fan of Cafe Press and have ordered awesome items from them in the past.  You can even use coupon code  IDOLTEES for 15% off until the end of May.

In addition to the shirt from Cafe Press, I will throw in a few other Idol goodies from the American Idol Experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

So here is how you enter:

Leave a comment on this post (only comments on this post will count) and tell me about your favorite American Idol performance of all time.  Only one comment per email address will count.  I will close comments at 8pm EST next Wednesday May 26th, right before the finale begins.    Then I will randomly choose a winner, and will announce the winner right after Idol announces their winner.

( And since there are, like, nine people who read this blog, you probably have a good chance of winning.  )

Comment Away!  And while you are at it, please like the new Idol Review Facebook page…all the cool kids are doing it.

My favourite Idol performance was from the Hollywood rounds on group day, “How Deep Is Your Love” with Blake Lewis, Chris Sligh, Rudy Cardenas and Tom Lowe.

The individual performances ranged from good to very good, but the harmonies were perfect and the breakdown at the end was absolutely awesome.

If only the regular group sings were even half that good . . .

The first time David Archuleta sang ‘Imagine’ pretty much did it for me.

I really loved “Billy Jean” by David Cook. The whole song was kinda seductive, cool, and disturbing at the same time. I still go on YouTube ALL the time and listen to it.

Mad World by Glambert would be a 2nd. :)

I have so many favourites…it is very difficult to choose. I have not been watching from the beginning, so I can’t comment on the first few years.
Here are my favourites…David Cook – Hello, Katharine McPhee’s Over the Rainbow, Jordin Sparks – I who have nothing, Melinda Doolittle – My Funny Valentine, Bo Bice – In a Dream (A Cappella amazing), Elliaott Yamin – A song for you, Heartless by Kris Allen, Adam Lambert – Mad World, Let it Be by Brooke White, last weeks Hallelujah from Lee and my all-time favourite – Imagine by David Arculeta.
ps thanks for all the work you do on this site…it is much appreciated:-)

I’m partial to Lee’s rendition of “Hallelujah”. He rocked it. Just sayin’.

I would have to say David Cook’s rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”. He was amazing.
