Idol Countdown: Day 7
January 8th, 2009
I’m running a little behind on the countdown, already. But in celebration of day 7, here are seven great moments from Hollywood week. Along with Wildcard week, Hollywood week is one of my favorite episodes (and rumor has it that it will be expanded to multiple episodes this year!). It is the place to make a name for yourself. The following are some standout performances in no particular order:
Frenchie and K. Lo singing “Band of Gold.” This is one of the best all-time Idol performances, and a Hollywood Week moment to remember!
A memorable group performance was that of Blake Lewis and company singing some BeeGees:
I was so bummed out last season that David Hernandez turned out to suck, because this performance of “Love The One You’re With” was so fabulous! My favorite part is when they have a close up on Michael Orland who looks like he is getting down with his bad self at the piano!
Another awesome moment from last year was Archie singing Bryan Adam’s “Heaven.”
Last season was full of Hollywood week fabulousness, like Brooke singing Carole King’s “Beautiful.”
I love this “rocker” moment with Bo, Constantine, and the forgotten rocker Aaron Kelly singing “The Letter.”
And a little awful medley including Corey Clark (and his group with Patrick Lake, the original rocker) serenading Paula in season 2. Ahhh the drama.
Aren’t you pumped!
