I am at the finale in LA starting early Wednesday Morning! Follow my mission to get inside and meet some idols! I will be posting twitters by texting from my phone, as well as MMSing pics to flickr. Hopefully technology works for me and this works without any major glitches.

Well, We have finally made it. Through all the bad auditions, the Danny Noriegas, the male strippers, and the Brooke White stop-and-starts, we have arrived.
This boxing bit is hilarious! Archie is drowning in his robe thing. And his gloves are as big as he is. Loves it! The theatre is huge, and the mosh pit has arrived from the tv set (boooo).
Archie won the coin toss, which gives him the advantage of choosing his very own pimp spot.

“I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 - That was a tall order to perform a U2 song. And I thought it was fantastic. Wow - nice way to kick it off Cookie! |

“Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” by Elton John - He had some big Idol shoes to fill (I smell a CompShop) but it was amazing. I think it was the best this song has ever been performed on Idol. Wow - keep this momentum going, boys!!! |

“Dream Big” by David Cook - Well, it didn’t have the appeal of the first song, but what can you do with a crappy song? He arranged it well and performed the crap out of it. But still. |

“In This Moment” by David Archuleta - The beginning was crappy, the end got better, but that was because the song was crappy at the beginning. But better than Cookie’s song. |

“”The World I Know” by Collective Soul - Wasn’t he supposed to sing this last week? Perhaps he wasnted to save the best for last. The performance was fantastic. I love that song and really enjoy collective soul, and I think he did it better than them. I disagree with Simon that he should have done something different–the competition is about progression and I think it gives people a clear idea of the album he wants to make. |

“Imagine” by John Lennon - Well, I thought it would lose its luster the second time around, but I was so wrong - it still gave me chills! I do wish he would have sang a different verse or changed up the arrangement just to differentiate it from his original performance, but it really doesn’t matter. He rawked it tonight. Go Archie! |
And at the end we get some live Studdard performance. To a montage of crappy videos.
SUCH a tough call regarding who will take the cake tomorrow. They both were on their A game. I am still rooting for Archie, and I think after tonight, he deserves the title if he gets it. I will throw a few votes for Archie tonight. But I can’t vote for too long because I am boarding a plane EARLY tomorrow to get there for tomorrow’s performance. (yes I am flying from Miami, and yes, that is a looong flight)
If you want to follow my LA adventure, I will be flickring and twittering throughout the day tomorrow via my cell phone. I will put a post up at the top of the page where all the updated info will be. Like if I get to meet Carrie Underwood or something. See you soon!

I won’t rehash the whole thing, but pop on over to MJ’s Blog to read the full scoop. Just a few notes:
Carrie will be performing in the finale. If I get in to see the show, I will be in her presence….OMG if I met her I would die.
Also the Jonas brothers will be there!! And another dead Elvis song? Ew - I think that will be my cue for a bathroom break.
Tonight should be a great performance show. I will be so curious to see how Cook spins the coronation song. And I love how they let the Davids choose their own song from the contest. If that isn’t a pathway for DC to win, I don’t know what is. I am so excited for this finale!
