AMAs, Jordin’s Album, etc.

So Jordin’s album dropped Tuesday. Listen for yourself if you like. My thoughts? One big bowl of ‘eh.’ I <3 her single "Tattoo," and there isn't anything that jumps out at me as wrong, but It just doesn't have that 'oomph' that other Idol freshman attempts have (Daughtry, etc.) I feel like it is a little over-engineered and doesn't take full advantage of her voice, which is, of course, awesome. Maybe it will grow on me. I haven't completely ruled it out yet.
Speaking of Daughtry, he along with my girl Carrie each took home 3 AMAs last weekend. Also making an appearance was The Pickler, The Sparks, and of course, The Seacrest (what awards show would be complete without him, really.)
Way to represent, guys!
A few other news tidbits:
- Jessica Sierra agrees to plea deal. Only 12 months probation and rehab! Sounds like the typical celebrity sentence to me.
- All the news outlets are reporting that McPhee is engaged. Um, duh, she reported that, like, 6 months ago. Did everyone in the major media outlets lose their short-term memory?

Re: Jessica’s sentence – Take out the word “celebrity” in your second sentence and you’ll have it right. That sentence is very much in line with what 99 percent of folks, be they AI finalists or a bagger at the local grocery story, would receive given the same circumstances. I’ll add that Bo, prior to AI and anyone knowing him, received an even better deal on his cocaine charge as he was allowed to enter a diversion program which meant his record was completely cleared after completion of his probationary period. According to news reporst, Jessica qualified for such a program and both the DA and judge were willing to sign off on it, but the victim in the case wouldn’t agree to it.

I’m sorry but what the hell is Kelly Pickler famous for? Being dumb, blond, and having big boobs? Enough of her already.
