it’s kelly eve
June 25th, 2007
To some, (ok, basically just me), this is better than Christmas. Kelly’s new album drops TOMORROW, making tonight Kelly Eve. Very exciting, indeed. Now if you are the impatient type, you can stream her album here. My first impressions?
Incredible.
I know there was a lot of debate over the fact that there are no radio-friendly tracks on the album, but I beg to differ — I could hear most of them playing on the radio. It has a good variety – a dance-y type track, a few hard rock tracks, some more pop-sounding ones, ballads, etc. There has also been a lot of manager drama and tour drama leading up to this, but despite the crazyness, this album seems like a really solid effort. Good Job, KC!
Incidentally, because my TiVo records all Kelly-related items, it recorded this great show last night called Crossroads on CMT featuring Kelly and Reba McIntire singing each other’s songs as duets – it was completely awesome. I am not a huge Reba fan, but she and Kelly together were so entertaining! It is on again TONIGHT at 7pm ET – if you have the chance to watch this, it is great. You can also find clips and photos here.
In honor of Kelly Eve, here are some idol gossip links to brighten your day…
- Looking for that missing AI Season 6 album? Perhaps this will suffice…
- Kelly does not <3 saying “I love you”
- Alaina Alexander (remember her?) <3s gay pride
- Um, so I guess Constantine has a new album.
- Paula to be a parent? That poor child….
- Paula has also found her purpose in life
- Questions you never thought to ask Sanjaya
- McPhee is moving to the big screen
There has been no word on a drop date for Jordin or Blake’s single. Perhaps they aren’t releasing singles this year? Maybe there will be word of this on the tour? Usually this gossip is prowling the internet by now, but no such luck this year. But it’s ok – I’ll settle for new Kelly.
